Girls Youth Yoga - Strong Bodies. Strong Minds.
Youth years are some of the best in our lives and yet our youth today are faced with a lot of pressures from all angles of life. Balancing the stresses of school, a social life, peer pressures, and other daily demands can be very challenging - sometimes leading to increased stress, anxiety, and concentration issues. Yoga is a healthy way to work out these pressures.
Yoga helps to build self-esteem while teaching methods of self-calming. It helps to focus the mind, increasing the ability to concentrate. Moving mindfully with the breath and tuning into body awareness can build confidence and self-esteem. In learning to relax, young people gain more space in their heads, the more they relax the easier it is to let go of problems. The calming effect of Yoga is hugely beneficial for exam times and other stressful situations. The youth of today more than ever require the opportunity to relax and focus inward, while building the strength and flexibility they need to grow and develop fully.
The class runs in a 6-week series so please check PŪR YOGA’s schedule for more information.

These are now a special experience of Reiki Restorative. Drop in for a deep journey into energy healing work and restorative supportive postures with Caitlan Carver.
Do nothing. Many people feel guilty about “doing nothing.” But by relaxing, you are honouring your body and relaxing your mind—and learning how to surrender to something bigger than yourself: Love.
Through relaxation, you begin to unravel your inner resistance and release the desire to continue pushing and struggling against life. Life is happening for you not against you; and the more you relax into life, the more apparent this becomes.
Restorative Yoga uses props, such as blankets, bolsters, and blocks, to help you melt into long holds in relaxing postures designed to relieve the effects of chronic stress in the body.
Reiki is Universal Life Force Energy, a holistic modality that also works on the nervous system. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing.
Reiki Restorative classes are gaining popularity as more people are yearning to slow down and go within. In yoga, we are not seeking to create a life with no stress; but rather, we are seeking to balance the stress response so we can show up more fully in all aspects of our lives. Reiki Restorative offers a spiritual vacation from the constant human doing by allowing each of us to be a human being!
Sage and Palo Santo may be used in this class so please make sure to express yourself if this is not something you wish to partake in.
