and discover the many approaches to yoga.
Beginner Yoga Series
New to Yoga? Or maybe you've been practicing for a while and want to gain a deeper understanding of what you're practising. This yoga series progresses from week to week to build a solid understanding and develop a strong foundation in yoga. In a small group setting, learn and practise classical hatha yoga and understand the benefits of each pose and learn more about relaxation and breathing techniques. Learn how yoga can bring more peace and joy to support the other areas of your life. The class runs in a 6-week series so please check PŪR YOGA’s schedule for more information.

Candlelight Restorative, Gentle Yoga
Time for a little Zen. Enjoy this soothing and relaxing yoga class surrounded by calming music and the soft glow of candlelight.
The class will include lots of stretching and an emphasis on breath as we ease our way into a sweet meditation that will give you the opportunity to quiet the mind and connect with yourself, leaving you feeling balanced, calm and filled with a peaceful, easy feeling.
Taught by Sara Glencross, this class is suitable for all levels.
Hatha Basics , Level 1 & 2
This class is a great way to strengthen your body and brain! It is a moderately challenging class that explores a wide spectrum of yoga postures with an emphasis on the therapeutic value of the postures.
You will feel an increased vitality of the body, a calm and lucid mind. Feel grounded and more connected to yourself and others. Other benefits include; a greater kinesthetic (tactile learning) and cognitive awareness, improved bone and muscle strength, better balance and agility, connection to community and lightness of the heart! You can expect a slow to moderately paced class that gently flows with breath awareness and weaves a mindful-body approach. Expect plenty of doable challenges and lots of laughter together!
Vicki's skill is in teaching modern postural alignment that integrates evidence based psychological and bio-mechanical research together with the wisdom teachings of yoga and Buddhism.
Vicki is a experienced interdisciplinary yoga instructor with over 10,000 hours teaching hatha yoga.
Taught by Vicki, this is a Level 1-2 class, suitable for an experienced beginner or intermediate level.
Integrative Yoga (Fundamentals)
Yoga unites pairs of opposites in the system and tries to increase healing ability, awareness and integration in the body and mind. The goal of this practice is to bring self-transcendence through physical, mental and spiritual health. We practice the principles of Vinyasa Karma where the body, breath and mind are integrated to attain a unified state of harmony and attention. Correct practice of Hatha (Physical) Yoga, increases circulation and awareness in all parts of the body, from the muscular tissues to the glands and internal organs. Mindfulness meditation being an essential part of our practice, the real benefits of this class comes about because it is a system of maintenance and balance for the whole mind-body.
Taught by Yazdan Raees, this class is accessible to all levels and abilities and suits individual needs and limitations.
Practice Ashtanga yoga in a safe and comprehensive manner. The classes allow students to practice sun salutations and the standing asana (postures), breathing techniques and the philosophy of the Ashtanga yoga system. You practice according to the pace of your own breath, moving through postures with your individual strengths and restrictions in mind. This meditation in movement involves cultivation of simultaneous and undisturbed awareness while moving into and out of the postures. Concentration on the breath in flow helps the practitioner to create internal heat, which purifies the blood, detoxifies the muscles and organs, and results in a body that is light and strong and a mind that is clear, connected and calm. Practicing with continuous attention allows you to refine your alignment in postures and experience yoga in an inspiring way to become strong in the body and in the mind. The teacher provides guidance and adjustments throughout the class. Discovering this type of independence in yoga can have a profound, beneficial impact on your practice, providing a deeper understanding of yoga in relation to your individual body type.
Taught by Yazdan, Saturday's class is for all levels and Monday's class is for more advanced students.
Learn the tradition of Iyengar yoga with one of Toronto's few highly trained Iyengar yoga teachers, Cindy Campbell. Internationally respected for a sophisticated understanding of physical movement, the Iyengar approach (named after BKS Iyengar who developed this system) to Hatha yoga helps practitioners combine mobility, stability, strength and alignment through precise attention to the body and the breath. Taught in a workshop style, the method is therapeutic, orderly, and progressive, and the postures are adaptable to meet individualized needs. All levels are welcome.
Mindful Body is a deeply focused alignment-based Hatha class, inspired by the Iyengar tradition. Here we learn through practice to fill every corner of the body with the strength of the mind's awareness and intention. The class is especially valuable for those healing physical injuries, or seeking greater mental and emotional wellness and stability.

Mobility and Strength Yoga
Yoga Mobility and Strength is a yoga class led and designed by Lisa to help students become stronger and safer on the mat and beyond. Whether you are relatively new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, this class will help you build strength to help support joint stability, posture and healthy movement patterns. It will also focus on a variety of sequences and poses that can help to bring balance to a body that is used to a more traditional yoga practice as a way of reducing the incidence of common yoga-related injuries. Expect a challenging 75 minutes of movement exploration, with plenty of encouragement to work with where you are at.
Taught by Lisa Veronese, this class is suitable for all levels.
Join us on an explorative journey through yoga. This is a Hatha based yoga class where you will learn to practice mindfully and with respect for your own body. This class is built on a sequence of yoga postures (asanas), and conscious breathing (pranayama) combined with mental focus. Safely and gently develop your physical strength and flexibility with attention to posture, proper muscle activation and alignment. Let go of competition, judgement and expectations and build a yoga practice that is just right for you. Start your day feeling refreshed, energized and peaceful. Appropriate for all fitness levels, modifications will be given to those new to the yoga journey.
Taught by Toni Blay, this class is suitable for all levels.
Vinyasa Flow classes are strong, alignment-based fluid offerings which challenge students to build strength and stability through functional movement patterns. The class is not fast-paced, but it is vigorous, and students can expect to be challenged to build strength through creative approaches to familiar postures.
There is less focus on passive stretching and flexibility and more on dynamic stretching and muscle integrity. This class is suitable for students who have already established a regular yoga practice and are looking to investigate how to deepen their practices on a physical level.
Taught by Kate Graham, this class is for experienced beginners or intermediate level.
Reconnect, re-energize, and breathe! With an emphasis on awareness of the breath, focused attention on the sensations in the body, movement and well-aligned postures, these classes build strength, flexibility and balance in both the beginner and the more advanced student. An all-levels class, beginners will safely learn and practice the basics of a Vinyasa class while more experienced students can take postures to a deeper level. Finish with peaceful guided meditations and you have a perfect morning practice!
Taught by Angela Yazbek, the Vinyasa flow classes are suitable for beginners and intermediate levels.

Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. These classes are slow pace, relaxing and are a perfect way to end the day. All levels welcome, our yin yoga/restorative classes per taught at room temperature. Join us for relaxing movement and opening, along with mantra & meditation. Yoga Nidra is a special relaxation technique which has a deep effect on the body, the energies and the mind. It is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. Deeper muscular tension is released, the immune system is strengthened, the quality of sleep improved – and it lowers the level of stress. You are guided slowly through the meditation and relaxation technique. Yoga Nidra is known to assist with stress, anxiety, tension and post traumatic stress disorder in addition to promoting overall relaxation and mindfulness. It is accessible to all levels. No prior experience is needed, and all physical skills and abilities can participate.
Vinyasa Focus Series
Vinyasa with Anna will emphasise working within your own practice and she will be teaching classes to meet you where you are at right now. This will be an inclusive class that is structured around consistency and exploration. You will follow a similar class format and sequence each week in order to help you gauge progression, along side this Anna will offer a variety of focus classes that will be structured around a particular focus such as; hips and hamstrings, backbends, arm balances and themes from Yoga Philosophy. There will be aspects built into each class that will challenge you to explore, learn and grow. Our movement practice is an opportunity to also observe our tendencies, how we try to distract ourselves and push ourselves out of experiencing our bodies. Asana practice is a time to reconnect our body, mind and breath to actually be in and experience our bodies with positivity, acceptance and understanding. It is a practice of being with not escaping from. Students will receive guidance, support and physical adjustments to add value and aid in their personal practice, learning and development.
Anna maintains a disciplined Ashtanga practice and this is very much reflected in her sequencing and teaching approach. She includes mantra, pranayama and meditation into her classes as part of a holistic practice, whether dynamic or more restorative in nature, she believes these traditional practices support students experiences and enhance the transformative and healing benefits of a Yoga practice.
Yoga fusion is a unique cross training class blending Vinyasa yoga , non traditional Pilates and body weight movements. Moving between disciplines motivates you to burn more calories, tone, strengthen your core and sculpt lean muscle mass .This practice is great for those who would like to integrate strength and variety into their yoga practice .With a satisfying savasana inviting your body to fully absorb the practice and leaving you feeling strong , centred and relaxed .
Yoga classes designed for youth that include yoga asana (poses), flexibility and core work, strengthening and balance moves, and meditation that encourages and develops concentration. This class supports prevention of injury and the promotion of focused, mindful thinking.
Taught by Kate Graham classes are suitable for all levels, ages 10-14.
What is Stand up Paddle Board Yoga? Exactly what it sounds like. Yoga on a paddle board. While Stand up Paddle (SUP) Boarding has been around for years, Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga has only recently come into its own, and offers an exciting and challenging mix of paddle board and yoga – the perfect opportunity to bring the summertime in! The intention is that each pose will be more challenging on a SUP board than on traditional mats. Balance, focus and core strength take centre stage. And there is still a Savasana at the end to bring all that work into a space that your body and mind can absorb and appreciate. All levels are welcome. Thursday morning classes are weekly. Sundays classes are offered in a more progressive series format.
TRX Suspension System
The TRX Suspension Trainer leverages gravity and your body weight to perform hundreds of exercises. You control how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise - because you simply adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance. TRX sculpts, strengthens your core and builds strenght and flexibility. TRX is an excellent class for building a strong foundation for yoga postures. Melissa will offer you a class that is challenging with great core work filled with a touch of good humour and fun! You will leavethis class feeling strong and exhilarated!
TRX Flow is a great class if you are a beginner-intermediate level yogi and looking to improve your practice and build strength and stability with specific yoga postures. Individuals newer to yoga and expect to gain guidance for correct muscle activation and building strength of foundational postures. Toni will offer you a supportive environment regardless of you experience where you will develop strength, stand tall with greater posture and feel up-lifted and empowered.
Utilizing the TRX as a tool for yoga practice will enhance mobility, stability and strength for the beginner to the intermediate student. It is also a way to infuse new energy into your yoga practice.
The student can expect to work through several specific postures, allowing for scalability for each level of practice, and to learn conscious muscle activation to build a more mindful, thoughtful physical practice.
Toni is a certified Yoga, Pilates and Functional Fitness trainer, with specific training from the TRX Academy in TRX for yoga.
Yoga Instruction and Private Fitness
Private, personalized yoga and fitness instruction help students gain confidence, receive guidance, and focus on their personal goals. Instruction is tailored to the individual’s health, level, lifestyle and schedule.
Rates vary based on seniority of teacher, length of sessions, in studio and in home lessons. Sessions may be 30, 60 or 90 minutes in length and semi-private lessons are also available.
