Variety is the spice of life right? Join us for one of these exciting nights as we'll be hosting "pop-up" classes to offer the space to new teachers, new types of classes, new musicians and a variety of other artists. We want to share the space with other community members, offer you, our students, some variety and to infuse your week with a little something different. Be sure to watch for upcoming dates and pop-up's classes that we'll be hosting.

Investment: $12 drop-in rate + hst, you can use a class pass, or members are free.

Upcoming Pop-up Class Schedule:

JUNE 18: BACKBEND SAMPLER - BEAUTIFUL BACKBENDS FOR BEGINNER’S MIND with SHEILA GILL

Backbends, inside and out: A prop-supported sequence inviting radical back body activation, and deeper access to your core support. 

JUNE 25: IYENGAR FOR CORE STRENGTH with CINDY CAMPBELL

This sequence will focus on creating a sense of strength and stability throughout your entire core including your abdominal, lower back, pelvic-floor and diaphragm. Standing, forward bends and backbends will be modified as needed for all practitioners with the use of props, finishing with a Savasana that will allow the core muscles to relax.

JULY 2: THE QUEEN OF ASANA: SHOULDERSTAND BASICS with SHEILA GILL

In Light on Yoga B.K.S. Iyengar states: “The importance of Sarvangasana cannot be over-emphasized.” Its proper practice brings vitality and strength to all parts of the body, including the function of the endocrine and nervous systems.  Learn key preparations for safe beginner practice of this elegant asana.

(Not recommended during menses.) Maximum 12 students.

JULY 23: Handstand! (Or, valuable support-building A,B,C's for People Who May Never Want to Go Upside Down)

with SHEILA GILL

What’s better than a shot of espresso?  Handstand! Come to deepen your understanding of this fun, invigorating pose, without any fear that you have to go upside down.  We will ground this practice in pain-free hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder girdle basics, first building support in more familiar poses (like Down Dog and Side Plank). 

Less weight-bearing options will be provided for those newer to practice, or for students healing upper body injury. Not recommended during menses.

JULY 30: MINDFULNESS & YOGA NIDRA with DEBORAH LIM

Calm and focus your mind in this combo class of breathing, light stretching and mindfulness. Experience different methods to help bring and keep you in the present moment, including mindfulness, meditation, yoga nidra, and pranayama (breathing techniques). These will help you to develop or strengthen your meditation practice. Suitable for all levels of yogis and meditators.
